John Dall and Farley Granger are two young men with promising lives until they decide to see if they can get away with - murder.

To further test their theory of superiority, they throw a "dinner party" while the corpse is hidden in their apartment.

All seems to be going along well until James Stewart suspects something amiss by the two men's behavior. Will they pull off the perfect crime or will they suffer a serious dose of indigestion?

TRIVIA

Loosely based on the real-life murder committed by University of Chicago students Leopold and Loeb.

Hitchcock's first color film.

Shot in a series of 8-minute continuous takes (max amount of film a camera could hold).

The last four or five segments had to be completely re-shot as Hitch wasn't happy with the color of the sunset.
